The statue you can chew of Maurizio Savini

Maurizio Savini makes me think of Hansel & Gretel… This Italian sculptor does statues made of chewing gum… So you can almost eat or chew them… His statues are at actual size… That’s big to chew! He creates amazingly detailed and slightly weird scuptures… fun to see:

The out-of-this-world hyperrealist scuptures of Ron Mueck

Have you ever dream of meeting Giants or Lilliputians in their everyday life? The work of Ron Mueck makes your dream become true. This Autralian artist is doing amazing hyperrealist scuptures. He is playing with the proportion to make basic people becoming huge… or small. It can be scary… I find this awesome. Have a look here and don’t miss his next exibition if you have the chance to be around when it happens.

Laura Bifano paints pixels

That was a good surprise when I saw for the first time the work of Laura Bifano. She is a Canadian illustrator and did a serie of 10 illustrations where she paint animals in “pixel’s style”. Simply clever. She says she did this serie because of her love of Nature and video games. I love it too. Hope she will go one step higher if she’s on a new serie.
